I just wanna say that the matchmaking system in MW2 is retarded. Always great being level 23 and ending up with a level 70. And the camping is atrocious. The perks are so stupid that it makes me hate the game. Also, heartbeat sensor? That shit ain’t real, remove it from my semi real shooter. And nerf those akimbo shotties, fucking hell.

Mortal Kombat got complicated. In fact, I know nobody in the game, ok, that’s a lie. But, still, I feel like I don’t know them. The moves are completely different, at least, setup differently than the last time I remembered. But overall, it’s a fun game. There’s a create your own character mode, big head racing in little karts and an RPG type setup where you learn the game, moves, gather money (for your character and unlocks), unlockable equipment and to unlock a couple new characters.

On Sunday after getting home, Daniel came over and we proceeded to play for like 3 hours. In the end we both ended up probably about even in terms of win/loss ratio. I enjoyed playing it, it’s a fun button masher, at least for me since I can’t take the time to learn 1 fighters 8,000 new moves.

Okami and the death of Clover Studios

I kept hearing a ton of talk about Okami and how great and wonderful it truely is. So I gave it a shot. Holy crap! This game is absolutely brilliant and beautiful. I’ve only put in 4 hours, out of probably 70 or so hours, and I’m really enjoying it throughly. I think it’s great that it’s an RPG, but it’s not turn based, most along the lines of Ninja Gaiden: Black and God of War (which is a very good game and I need to play more). But between work and WoW and other things, I have less time to play console games. I still try to find time to play it occasionally, and I wish I had more time devoted to games. It’s really a fun game you should pick it up.

As far as Clover is concerns, Capcom decided to fold the company and move on. I really want to give Godhand a try, their new game. Here’s to hoping the Clover guys do better things and I hope this doesn’t stop them from it.

I recently gave up playing World of Warcraft because I couldn’t devote enough time to it like I used to, so I quit at 50. On top of that, I’m on a west coast server where everyone raids starting at 10/11 PM EST. I’m also not in a guild, and it’s very boring to just grind to 60, as I’m sure a few people know by now. My sub runs out in Oct, but I’ll keep it around since I’ve already paid for 3 months, maybe someone will renew my interest but right now, I won’t reroll because it sucks being low level and I can’t stand leveling at those levels.

So I’ve decided with what little free time I do have, I will start playing a bunch of games I never finished. First up, Diablo 2: LoD. I had originally beaten D2 with a paladin, but I never got through Lord of Destruction because I never wanted to play all the way through, since I lost my CDs. I don’t know if I’m going to go back to NES/SNES/PSX or some older PC games to continue my quest for beating games I’ve never took the time to beat.

Right now I’m in Act 2 and I’m progressing as much as I can each day, which usually isn’t much because I just come home and loaf on the couch. I wish I had a another laptop that played games well so I could chill on the couch and not sit in my uncomfortable ass chair at my PC.
