As always, I browse my tweets constantly throughout the day and I don’t always have time to comment and talk about the different ones I read. One caught my eye before I stepped out this evening, and it was the one about the UN Resolution 62/154. I pulled a lot of what I’m about to comment on from Dr. Sanity’s post: IF YOU CAN’T SAY ANYTHING NICE ABOUT ISLAM…
“Combating defamation of religions,” actually seeks to extend protection not to humans but to opinions and to ideas, granting only the latter immunity from being “offended.”
How is it we’re not allowed to say anything potential bad about Islam, but they can call for death to Israel and America? Shouldn’t this fall under the same Resolution? Shouldn’t Islamic countries also suffer the same fate? I mean, if they want a level playing field something should be done about the way Islam attacks people who are against RADICAL Islam. From what I’ve seen personally, Muslims are good people, it’s the Radicals and Fanatics that cause all the problems. I’ve worked with many Muslims and not once did they want to harm me because of my religion or beliefs. The Imams and such need to step up and stamp out the radicals that make them look so bad.
So, let me say for the record that I reject being labeled as “Islamophobic” utterly. Rather, I have a healthy, rational fear of a religion that aggressively seeks my submission or death.
Dr. Sanity is right. There is no phobia associated with Islam, just the ones that want to forcefully convert other to their religion or end their lives. He goes on to list a why he has rejected Muslim values. I agree with all the points he’s put forth. Islam is a religion of hypocrisy. I always hear how Islam is a religion of peace through and through. Yet, all I see are henious acts commited on non-Muslims, Jews and people who don’t follow the Koran to the T. It’s sickening they can call themselves a religion of peace. I’m sure the majority of Islam is peaceful, but the radicals have taken over.
They’re slowly spreading across Europe, well maybe not slowly, but they’re making other countries take up Sharia law and discount that countries own laws. Honor killings are common place and you can’t speak bad about Allah. Why do we bow down before them and let them treat us this way? We are we so afraid to tell them no? Why have we reach a point in our history that we’re actually afraid to stand up to those that challenge our lives and values on a daily basis? How can suicide bombers killing those of another religion be considered heroes and not labeled terrorists or hate crimes, but if we attack terrorists or someone threating our life that is Muslim, it’s a hate crime? Why all the double standards?
Once and for all we need to stand up to this global threat. No group of people should be able to go into a country and make the country change instead of them changing for the country. It’s what Europe has done, we don’t need to follow them, we need to set an example and stop the insanity.
