I guess having friends interrogate the person you’re dating isn’t all bad. They help speed up the process of finding out what is potentially wrong with someone. But at the same time we’re so protective of the new person in our lives and we’re enjoying the time we have now and don’t want to ruin it.
It’s pretty clever that Marshall decides to turn game night into interrogation night. I think the parts about telling humiliating stories brings everyone in your group of friends that much closer on so many aspects.
It’s terrifying introducing new people to your group of friends. You never know if they’ll like this person or if this person will like your friends. Maybe sometimes you hold off on introducing them because you’re afraid of the consequences of doing so.
Sometimes though, we have to just jump into the fire and let our friends make their judgments known, before it’s too late. I’d rather my good friends tell me the truth starting off and not find out how they really feel until that person is out of my life.
