In one of my favorite movies of the year, Juno, there is a scene where the father puts his hand on her stomach and she says that the baby is kicking because of how he makes her feel. Since the mother and child are so intertwined it makes sense. I have experienced this exact same situation, except the child wasn’t my own. I figured this is what happened when I tried to feel for a kick. The mother got the feeling and the baby responded. I was told that I was the first person to feel the baby kick. That was to be our secret, if it were true, I’m not sure if it was. It was just so odd that I could cause such a reaction in two beings at once. It really does blow my mind away. Maybe someday I’ll conjure those feelings in someone else.
