I won’t lie down

Sometimes in your life you come to a crossroad where you stand, staring into the future. You think of some choices you need to make and what their outcome would be. You then weigh each future thought and proceed with that plan.

Sometimes we choose to lay down and take the non-confrontational road, while sometimes we choose to fight what we believe is right. All our lives we are faced with these decisions, and we are always told to pick your battles in the war of life.

I eventually get to a point where I weight the benefits of a relationship, along with all the actions undertaken by all parties. People might call me selfish by wanting things a certain way, but you have to do things for your own happiness while maintaining the overall happiness of the relationship. This is what we refer to as sacrifice. You have to give a little to get a little back. But there comes a point where one person is doing all the giving and the other is just taking.

Everyone is so scared to hurt other people’s feeling by cutting off contact, but it’s the action that speaks the loudest. Everyone wants to be nice, but this world is far from it. There are times to be nice but there are times to stop being quiet and just fucking say something.
