This episode is split up into two parts, one part where half the gang goes to a club and Lily and Marshall sit and home and do grown up stuff.
I’ll talk about clubbing first and foremost. I know nothing of clubbing, I’ve never been and I really haven’t had too much desire to actually go. I’ve always felt the only reason to go was to meet women for hook ups, and that wasn’t me so I didn’t bother going.
When I was engaged, I think I kinda wanted to do the more grown up stuff and have people over for wine tastings, etc etc. But I still wanted to be the crazy guy and do whatever I wanted to do without worrying about being all grown up. I guess we all reach a point where we want to be something different, because we’re looking out at everyone and want to fit in. You just have to do what’s right for you, and what you’re comfortable with, before you can take a step. Marshall was right on the whole adult stuff, might want to wait until you have a kid, because they make you old.
