Why are they also furnished so well when no one has a job or a job that doesn’t pay as much. I mean, most of the shows set in New York City have characters who don’t have the best jobs and are in huge apartments filled with a ton of items. For once I want a show that really shows how a bachelor lives or anyone starting it off in NYC. Having just the bare essentials and struggling to get by. That’s what I want to see.

That annoys the freakin crap out of me as well. The only show I know that depicted “life” the closest was Married with Children. The Bundy’s were always poor, had poor manners, didn’t care about their kids; they were certainly not your typical American family. And it’s not just apartments on TV shows. Whenever someone is getting married, they usually have an extremely lavish wedding filled with expensive decorations, flower arrangements, and dinner. I have also noticed the same with dances, like when some of the stars are in high school. Their school dances are usually lavishly decorated, have a live band, and ALL of the students are having a blast. I would like to see a normal TV show come on again.
