Bluecoat blocking

We have a proxy at work called Bluecoat, and it sucks. The error pages it tosses at you are so generic that it’s so laughable that we paid a ton of money for this. So far only the tech people’s subnet is blocked. Can’t visit certain sites and exe files are blocked, so we can’t even download and test patches, insane isn’t it? For the sites that are blocked, this is good trust me, it’ll block a site that’s a blog, but go visit blogger or some other site with blog in the URL and it’ll let you visit it. It’s absolutely ridiculous. This rant really doesn’t have a solid base, just that I’m sick of seeing it and I think anyone thinking about it should stay far away because so far it’s done nothing but affect my productivity.

I was really hoping to see a new blog post about people using YouTube as a video blog. I guess I’ll have to check back another day. :)
