What is the point of technology if we’re limited by something as ancient as a floppy drive? What am I talking about? I’m talking about installing Windows XP to a Single SATA drive with a DVD-Burner. Nothing else. Why can’t Microsoft release an updated Windows XP install with SP2 and the option to use a USB drive? Why not? It’s fucking 2006 people, we shouldn’t have to dig out our floppy drive to install an OS on a new piece of hard ware. At least give us the option to swap out a CD-R or something with drivers on it, don’t limit us to using some archiac piece of equipment which I have banished to the 7th layer of hell.
In 2006 there’s only two options to use your SATA drive as the primary drive to install XP to: Floppy drive from hell or Slipstream. I don’t have time for all this bullshit really, I got fed up and I will eventually pull out the floppy drive because I don’t care to slipstream anything else at this point. I just want to put in a disc, install and call it a day, is that too much ask in our advanced technological world?
ha ha. i know the feeling, i had to dig, i mean dig to find 3.5s one day. wtf , mate. its 2k6 we should not stand for this oppression man.
i remember when i used my first sata drive for my computer. i had to go to office depot to purchase a fdd. it was so pissed off. it cost me $25 just to install the drivers. what a pain in the ass.
